How Works:

1. Registration Stations

After qualification, registrants enroll into the RAPID System by presenting their fingerprints, having   a photo taken, and providing other proof of identity at the RAPID registration station.

2. Credentialing Modules

Issuing of permanent identification cards and credentials generated after enrollment at the    Registration Stations.  All pertinent information is stored on the identification card including the 2-D fingerprint barcode, photo and the cardholder's name.

3. Gatekeeper Stations - MANNED AND UNMANNED

RAPID checkpoint stations that provide automated verification based on one-to-one comparisons between the information stored on the RAPID ID and the fingerprint of the person presenting the RAPID ID.

4. Command and Control Servers (CCS)

Monitors transactions, updates rules and consolidates transaction data of other RAPID components within a given CCS's authorized jurisdiction.  Command and Control Servers have the ability to interface with local, state and federal authorities.

  • Event Viewing Stations (EVS)

Capable of viewing the consolidated transaction data of RAPID Command and Control Servers within a given EVS's authorized viewing range.

  • Access Rules Stations (ARS)
